Early learning, kindergarten & school care at Raceview 2.
Expeditions Early Learning Journey Raceview 2 brings together early learning from 15 months to school age, kindergarten, and before- and after-school care. Large outdoor environments with real grass, Reggio Emilia-inspired learning and a dedicated Cenaré dining room give this centre a character of its own.

Children’s ideas have a place here.
Raceview 2 takes inspiration from the Reggio Emilia approach, with learning that nurtures creativity and self-expression. Children can explore materials, share ideas and investigate questions through play.
Cultural awareness celebrates diversity and encourages children to learn about perspectives beyond their own. Our kindergarten program offers opportunities for curiosity, relationships and growing social confidence.
Outside, there is room for different kinds of play.
Expansive playgrounds are designed for exploration, play and relaxation. Some moments call for movement; others invite children to pause, notice and work something out.
On a visit, look at the different spaces and talk with the team about how children use them throughout the day.
Meals and everyday independence.
Our chef prepares fresh meals, with dietary needs discussed with families. In the dedicated Cenaré dining room, shared mealtimes can also be opportunities to practise everyday skills and enjoy being part of a group.
Support around the school day.
Raceview 2 offers before- and after-school care, vacation care, and school pick-ups and drop-offs. Ask the team which schools are serviced, the current transport arrangements and how bookings work.
These school-age care options are separate from the early learning program. Exact age eligibility, schedules and availability should be confirmed with the centre.

Practical answers to help you plan a visit and choose care for your child.
Does Raceview 2 care for babies?
Early learning at Raceview 2 starts from 15 months, so it is not an offering for babies younger than that. Speak with the team about the right room, enrolment eligibility and current availability for your child.
Is Raceview 2 the same as Raceview at 80 Thornton Street?
No. Raceview 2 is a separate centre with its own offering, including Cenaré dining and school-age care. You can compare both centre pages in Our Centres.
Does Raceview 2 offer vacation care?
Yes, vacation care is listed alongside before- and after-school care. Contact the centre to confirm the current program, eligibility, school transport arrangements and availability.
Is Raceview 2 open and accepting enrolments?
Yes. Raceview 2 officially opened in mid-October 2026 and is accepting enrolments. Thank you to the families who waited for our opening. Arrange a tour of Raceview 2 to explore the centre and discuss current availability for your child.
What makes the early learning environment at Raceview 2 different?
Raceview 2 features large outdoor environments with real grass, alongside a Reggio Emilia-inspired approach and a dedicated Cenaré dining room. Its early learning offering starts from 15 months; before- and after-school care and vacation care are separate school-age offerings. Ask about the right programme rather than assuming every room covers the same ages.
What are Raceview 2’s opening hours?
Expeditions Raceview 2 is open Monday to Friday, 6:30 am–6:30 pm. The centre is closed on Saturdays and Sundays. Please confirm public holiday hours directly with the team when planning care.
What is included in daily fees at Raceview 2?
Daily fees include meals prepared by our onsite chef, nappies, wipes, sunscreen, incursions and excursions. We serve halal food and discuss individual allergies and dietary needs with families before care begins. Ask about any specialty programme arrangements rather than assuming every additional activity is included. Discuss your child’s dietary and care needs with the team before starting.
How do I check fees and availability for my child?
Fees and places depend on the care arrangements you need. To discuss your needs, choose Raceview 2 in our tour journey. Share your child’s age, preferred days and intended start date, and ask for current session details and a fee breakdown. An enquiry does not guarantee a place.
Can I use Child Care Subsidy at Raceview 2?
Child Care Subsidy depends on your family’s eligibility, the approved care arrangements and your Services Australia assessment. Ask the centre to confirm the details for the sessions you are considering. Our CCS calculator provides a guide for one child under 6 who is not attending school, using standard CCS only; it does not model higher sibling CCS, Additional CCS or school-age care. The 3 Day Guarantee guide explains subsidised hours, not three free days or a guaranteed place.
Can my child access Free Kindy at Raceview 2?
Please ask the team to confirm Raceview 2’s funded kindergarten participation and your child’s eligibility for the enrolment year you need. Please confirm current participation with the centre; Free Kindy is not promised at this centre. Our Queensland Free Kindy guide explains the general scheme and questions to ask.
Can we visit Raceview 2 before choosing childcare?
Yes. A tour is a chance to meet the team, explore Raceview 2’s spaces and talk about your child’s routines, interests and care needs. Choose this centre for a tour and use our childcare tour checklist to prepare questions about rooms, communication, meals and the daily programme.
How does Stay and Play work at Raceview 2?
Once your enrolment paperwork is complete, you can arrange as many Stay and Play visits as you need before your child’s start date. Plan the visits, duration and level of family support with your Centre Manager. Parents are warmly welcome to stay as children become familiar with the educators, environment and other children. Visits are arranged with the team, not unrestricted drop-off care. Read our Stay and Play guide.
